Florida: Day Two // Fort Lauderdale

One thing that no one tells you about going to Florida: your hair will immediately be at the mercy of humidity. And rain. Lots of rain.

The second day being here finally felt like we were on vacation. Although it did rain in the morning right after preparing to go to the pool, it was still warm. And there was no snow on the ground. And it smelled like summer, so I certainly wasn’t complaining.

After trekking in the pouring rain to go get Starbucks, we decided to dry off and get the day started! I am not allowed to have my nails painted at work and I hadn’t looked at my feet in months, so the first thing we decided to do was get mani pedis. When leaving the hotel, we were greeted by an adorable duck so I’m going to include him in this post.

We went to Toi Spa and they did an absolutely amazing job.

So if you don’t know me in real life, you probably don’t know that one of my favorite things to do in the whole world is explore grocery stores. Like I love it so much. So since there was a grocery store right across the street called Winne Dixie that I had never heard of, I decided to go there! I’ll spare you the details because I think I’m the only person who actually does this, but it was great.

Then of course, I had to go into Starbucks because I’m addicted. But I am also currently writing this post in the Starbucks because I’m trying to be a decent blogger.

We spent the rest of the day exploring and taking pictures. One of my other favorite things to do when traveling is just walk around. I feel like its so cool to just walk around a new area and see the things there are to see. I will upload all of these photos in another blog post but since I forgot to bring my laptop, I can’t get the photos from my camera to my computer.

We went back to The Green Bar and Kitchen because it was just so good. I ordered the buffalo tempeh sandwich and it was absolutely incredible. It was SO spicy and I feel like its the first thing I’ve had since going vegan that is actually as spicy as buffalo chicken is, which was amazing!

Here are some more random photos I took on my phone
